The Australian team, though newly established, is built on the stability and proven expertise of their UK counterparts. Close collaboration between the two ensures that the Australian team benefits from the UK team’s extensive experience and thought leadership. Andy Watt – Owner and Executive Director

Andy began his career in Defence as a mechanical engineer, progressing through senior management roles across the defence and aerospace sectors. Early specialisation in Lean, Six Sigma, and Taguchi methods in both production and R&D environments laid the foundation for his process improvement expertise.

After being introduced to Eli Goldratt’s ‘The Goal’, Andy joined The Goldratt Institute and worked alongside Dr Goldratt himself – training and coaching organisations to achieve breakthrough results using the Theory of Constraints (TOC). In 2007, he took over Goldratt UK, growing it into a leading TOC consultancy operating across the UK and Australia.

Andy and his team have supported hundreds of organisations – from major names such as Bombardier, Embraer, BAE Systems, Leonardo, Eurostar, Honeywell, and Siemens to numerous SMEs.

Today, Andy is recognised globally as a thought leader in TOC and Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM). A founding member of the Theory of Constraints International Certification Organisation (TOCICO) and a regular conference speaker. His recent work with Phil Snelgrove and John Muncaster on Goldratt UK’s Rules of Flow represents a major contribution to the modern development of TOC in manufacturing, project management, and MRO.

Jamie Chalker APM – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Jamie is a distinguished leader with nearly 30 years of experience in law enforcement, public administration, and strategic crisis management. As former Commissioner of Police, Fire and Emergency Services for the Northern Territory and CEO of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Community Development, he built a reputation for integrity, resilience, and decisive leadership across complex, high-stakes environments.

His career has been defined by service in remote and regional Australia, leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, and oversight of major criminal investigations – earning him national honours including the Australian Police Medal and the Royal Humane Society Bronze Medal for Bravery.

Academically, Jamie holds multiple qualifications in business, leadership, and governance, including a Master of Leadership and Management (Policing and Security) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Churchill Fellow.

As CEO of Goldratt UK in Australia, Jamie brings proven executive and operational leadership to defence, aviation, and complex organisations. His expertise in transformation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic execution helps clients navigate uncertainty, strengthen capability, and achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes.

CJ Chetwynd-Micic – Management Consultant

CJ joined Goldratt UK in 2025 as a Management Consultant, bringing over 20 years of executive experience across finance, utilities, and telecommunications. He works with clients to deliver transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth – turning complexity into clarity through people, systems, and strategy.

Before joining Goldratt UK, CJ held senior leadership roles with SA Water, BT Financial Group, and Westpac, where he built enterprise-wide change and performance functions that delivered faster outcomes, higher efficiency, and lasting value.

A certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Prosci Change Practitioner, and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, CJ brings a disciplined yet practical approach to improvement. His experience leading complex change equips him to help defence and aerospace clients enhance flow, performance, and delivery.

Steve Venning-Smith – Management Consultant

Steve is a committed service delivery leader with a career grounded in customer experience excellence across both public and private sectors.

Drawing on senior leadership roles at Westpac, Optus, and the Government of South Australia, Steve is passionate about creating frictionless, human‑centred services and leading purposeful change, operational transformation, and innovation.

With extensive experience leading large operational teams and complex, high‑stakes projects, Steve specialises in change management, stakeholder engagement, and operational innovation. Recognised through Premier’s and Departmental Awards for service delivery excellence, he is known for his ability to lift performance, build capability, and drive meaningful, sustainable improvement.

Beyond Steve’s professional roles, he has actively contributed to community and governance through advisory councils, school boards, and sporting organisations.

Guided by values of courage, curiosity, and respect, Steve approaches every challenge with integrity and an unwavering focus on outcomes. He empowers teams, strengthens communities, and shapes services that make a meaningful and lasting difference.

Steve holds qualifications and experience in Business Administration, workplace assessment, training and facilitation, emergency coordination, emotional intelligence assessment, as well as Prince2 and Six Sigma methodologies.
